The support provided by our foundation to two artisanal fishermen’s unions<\/strong> in San Antonio has led to the creation of a sustainable cooperative. This initiative has resulted in the development of an integrated low-carbon fishing project<\/strong> that will benefit the entire community.<\/p>\nThe project will deliver high-quality seafood products<\/strong> that are both affordable and meet the highest hygiene standards, while also ensuring good working conditions<\/strong> for the fishermen. The goal is to strengthen the community by creating long-term benefits.<\/p>\nThis concept, developed by our environmental engineer<\/strong> and sociologist<\/strong>, responds to local needs and has garnered significant political support<\/strong> \u2014 including backing from the Undersecretary of Economy<\/strong>, the Governor<\/strong>, and the Senator<\/strong>. The municipality<\/strong> has voted to provide land for the project, and the Chilean state<\/strong> has pledged to finance at least half<\/strong> of its cost.<\/p>\n[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_cta The on-site feasibility study<\/strong> revealed significant social, economic, environmental, and public health potential, particularly through improved nutrition. Local media, including TV<\/strong> and print<\/strong> outlets, enthusiastically covered the project last November, highlighting its positive impact.
It is important to note that the project is designed to meet local needs without requiring an exhaustive analysis of specifics. With great enthusiasm, we have dedicated two years of work<\/strong>\u2014including intensive engagement with local authorities<\/strong> and donors<\/strong>\u2014to bring this initiative to life.
